Sous Chef

Hill & Vine has a management team opening for a Sous Chef. We are looking for a Chef that can fit within and help grow our brand.

The Sous Chef will assist the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing kitchen operations, and in maintaining the highest quality standards of food and service. They will help to ensure maximum guest satisfaction, through planning, organizing, directing, and helping to lead the Kitchen operation. We are looking for a creative individual with a true passion for cooking who should be personable and friendly, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef

  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

  • Fluent with any station of the kitchen

  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management

  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions

  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Culinary Experience: 4 years (Preferred)

  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Scratch Kitchen experience a plus

  • Completion of a degree or certificate in culinary arts is a plus
